Course Description:
The Advanced Movement Course (AMC) is a challenging 3-day course designed to develop a mobile firing platform with pistol and rifles. The goal is to emphasize mobility and stability while effectively engaging targets on the move. This course will provide instruction and opportunity to engage targets while moving from a variety of conditions, directions and speeds. The linear progressions build basics skills in order to progress to advanced skills. Instruction on categories of movement, movement skills, performing weapons manipulations; increasing hit potential and increasing situational awareness while moving. Extended range sessions and high repetitions strengthen proper technique and broaden conditioned responses. Graded evolutions throughout provide feedback on skill development and overall ability.

- Duty rifle (with tactical sling, RDS and weapon light)
- Duty pistol (optional weapon light)
- 1,500 rounds of rifle ammunition
- 500 rounds of pistol ammunition
- 7 rifle magazines and 5 pistol magazines minimum
- 5 inert training rounds for both (no A-Zooms)
- Training uniform (ball cap and gloves)
- 1stLine gear (rigid belt, sturdy holster, magazine pouches and dump pouch)
- 2ndLine gear (tactical armor, load bearing equipment, helmet and goggles)
- Handheld flashlight
- Clear wrap around ballistic eye and hearing protection
- Hydration system and energy snacks
- Weapons cleaning kit and quality lubrication
Class Prerequisites:
Combative Carbine 2 or similar
